The story of Anh Phoong

Phoong, who has Chinese and Vietnamese ancestry, grew up in Antelope and graduated from American River College and California State University, Sacramento. Her firm describes her as a valedictorian, a former public defender intern and a car accident survivor herself. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012.

From Sacramento she expanded to San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Modesto and Chico, then to Las Vegas, Reno and Houston. The firm reports more than $300 million recovered for clients and more than 10,000 cases won, and it serves clients in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Recognition followed in 2026. Lessons for business builders

  • A simple, repeated message builds a brand: one slogan, 10 years, the same name on every billboard.
  • Grow where your clients are. Phoong Law added offices city by city, then state by state.
  • Use your platform for others; donated billboards and sponsorships build trust a paid ad cannot.
